This is my newest spindle, a small bead spindle from MandaCrafts. Amanda sent me some punis also, so I can practice while waiting for more cotton. This is really fun, but I don't think it will be more than a minor hobby for me. If you follow the link African Trade Beads above you can see how the beads are made. What a tremendous work for a small bead! Beads like this one represents something very fundamental for me. They are ancient, have been used for thousands of years to spin fine, short fibers like cotton.
Utomhus händer det en del. Rabatten ?? blommar :) Och koltrasten skaffar mat åt familjen. Jag fattar inte hur han gör för att få plats med alla dessa maskar.
Busy times in the garden: the flower bed ?? is in full bloom :) And the blackbird is hunting earthworms for the family. How is he doing this, keeping all these worms in his beak?
